During the Spring term Year Two children have been developing their sketching skills. We explored how different graded pencils can create different tones and practised this through our observational drawings.

We have been inspired by Picasso and have copied some of his line drawings as well as creating our own. The children made a view finder, so they could carefully sketch part of a penguin. Finally, the children used all the skills we had learnt from the topic to create their own penguin sketches.
