Safer Internet Day 2023

In February all the children in the school celebrated Safer Internet Day

This year's theme was 'WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT?' and that's exactly what we were encouraging all our pupils to do. The children thought about all the fun and exciting things they do online and how all these can make the internet a great place to explore. We also thought about the problems we might encounter and how that could make us feel. The children thought carefully about what they would do in different scenarios and who we could talk to about the positives and the worries when we go online. All the children took part in different activities to help them to understand more. The "E-Vengers" helped to deliver a worship around this and reminded the children of our message "Be SMART stay safe", which is displayed throughout the school.

In the Early Years the children discussed their favourite things to do and the adults they felt comfortable talking to if they had any worries. Year One children made their own 'Magical Windows'.  Year two devised questions for a peer to ask in an interview style to get us to talk about our digital lives.
