St. John’s held a carnival to finish our Black History Focus Week. Each year group took part in Notting Hill Carnival which celebrates the Carribean culture. We learnt about the founder Claudia Jones and how Notting Hill Carnival became so successful to this day. We celebrated by doing traditional carnival dances and eating plantain and rice and peas.
